Painter, graphic artist, illustrator, teacher. Born in
the family of Philipp Ivanov in the village of Mshagi in
Novgorod Province (1869). Studied under
Ilya Repin
at the Imperial Academy of Arts (1891

1900). Taught at the Penza School of Art (1900s).
Collaborated with the Gamayun satirical journal
(1905). Died in 1930. Contributed to exhibitions (from
1896). Contributed to the exhibitions of the St
Petersburg Society of Artists (1898), Society of
Travelling Art Exhibitions (1899, 1914, 1917, 1918),
Moscow Fellowship of Artists (1904
