The 14th Auction by Psatharis
Auction House Ltd, which was held on 30/5/2013 at the HILTON Hotel –
Nicosia was very successful, with revenue (auction price, commission and
VAT on the commission) amounting to €153.263. Out of the 113 works of
art in the catalogue, 65 were sold, or 58% and (by value) 75%.
In top place was the work by
Christoforos Savva “Bathers in Kyrenia” which raised €38.074. This
was followed by the work of Michael Chr. Kashalos, “Fun in the
countryside”, which from a starting price of €14.000, after 6 bids,
realised €22.363. In third place was the work by Costas Karahalios,
“The Achaean troops”, which realised €11.770.
There was also an interest in the 3
sketches by Stelios Votsis. His sketch “Figurine III”, after a
record of 19 bids, from its starting price of €80 realised €388. “The
coast guard” by Charilaos Dikeos attracted 12 bids and from its
starting price of €600 realised €1647. “Agios Memnon” by Fotos
Hadjisotiriou, after 9 bids, doubled its starting price of €2000
realising €4.413. An interest was also shown in all the works by
Demetris Perdikidis. His work of art, number 39 in the catalogue,
which from a starting price of €1.000, after 8 bids realised €2.000.
“Traditional houses” by Ioannis Kissonergis, from a starting
price of €4.500, after 4 bids, realised €7.062. The 2 works by
Lefteris Economou attracted bids. “Spring scene” and “Camden High
street, London”, after 4 bids for the first one and 3 bids for the
second one realised €1.177 and €1.412 respectively.

Vasiliou, John Corbidge, Mikis Finikaridis, Xanthos Hadjisoteriou,
Hector Doukas, Andreas Asproftas, Thaki Rossidou, Tasos Stephanides,
Demetris Anthis, Constantinos Tsoklis, Andreas Ladommatos, Nikos
Kouroushis, Giorgos Skotinos, Costas Ioakim, Stass Paraskou, Christos
Christou, Andreas Makariou, Susan Kerr, Iosif Iser, Valery Kokurin,
Nikolai Mokrov, Alekseevich, Michalis Manousakis, Manos Rovithis, Daphne
Trimikliniotou and others were also sold. |
