RESULTS
The following lots were sold at the prices stated.
Prices include the Buyer’s Premium and VAT on buyer’s premium.

“Psatharis Auction House” held its Auction at the HILTON Hotel, Nicosia, on the 26 October 2010.

Out of the 104 works that were auctioned, 57 were sold 55%. The revenue (hammer price, buyer’s premium, and VAT) amounts to €199.875

Out of the 54 Cypriot works, 36 were sold, 67%, and out of the 50 Greek artists’ works 21 were sold, 42%.

The works with the highest auction price were the following:

In the first place, as it was expected, the work by George Pol Georgiou “Street Scene in Nicosia During the Emergency 1957” that realized (hammer price and VAT ) with eight bids from  €35.000  reached  €59.800.

Of great interest was the watercolour by Ioannis Kissonergis, “Going to the spring for water” also with eight bids from  € 5.000 reached  €9.966, Loukia Nicolaides “Platres - 1937” from  €2.000 reached to €3.853, Cristos Christou  “Goats” with seven bids from €1.000 reached €1.856. All three works by Xanthos Xatzisteriou were sold, “Cavalry woman” with six bids from €3.200 reached €5.159.

Interest was also shown in the three paintings by Andreas Ladommatos “Stones, roots and rose flowers” and “Pomegranate tree branches and stones” reached  €7.035 each and the “Blue window” reached €5.159, A. Fassianos  “Wind” went for €6.448, Lefteris Economou, “Dali village” €3.517, Andreas Charalambides “The wine drinkers” €5.869.
