Results of the Second Auction of “Psatharis Auctions House” 7th November 2007

In a packed room of people at  HILTON Hotel in Nicosia on the 7th November 2007, the Second auction of “Psatharis House” took place  with Cypriot's and Greek's Artists work, marking big success.

From the 99 items that was auctioned the 56 were sold (percentage 57%). The income of auction amounted in the sum of £139.554 (Hammer price, the Buyer's Premium and the VAT.) showing an increase of 30% comparing to our first auction (the income of which amounted in £107.424).

The most expensive artwork was Andreas Charalampides "Spondes" (with appreciated value £10.000 - 15.000) wich was sold for £14.070. The second more expensive works were those of Telemachos Kanthos “View to Morfou” and Nicos Nicolaides “Old Nicosia” for £8.793 each. Follows the work of Xanthos Hatzisotiriou “The drama of Cyprus” that sold for £8.207. The work of Andreas Ladommatos “Open window” sold for £7.035. The public showed an interest in all three works of Victor Ioannides... “Children with goats” £5.862, “Marine” £4.690 and “Street in Old Nicosia” £3.517. Record of blows marked once again a work by Stas Paraskos, “Easter in Cyprus” which with 14 bids was bought for £1.641 (starting price £600).

We thank all the Cypriot and Greek Artists that with their work gave quality and perspective in our second auction. Many thanks to the Artistic public of Cyprus and Greece that honoured with their presence the auction, to the owners of the artworks, to all tv stations, radios, newspapers and magazines that covered our auction, and finally to all our collaborators for the whole event.
